A TEAM AWAY TO TIGERS

The Pumas NCL squad has fortnight off but the A team travelled to Durham Tigers and rang the changes from what was a disappointing display last week.  No fewer than 10 changes to the starting line-up 3 of whom, Luke Tinkler, Warren Parsonage and Liam Meehan  making their debuts for the club meant it was quite literally like watching a different side from the previous week.  Peterlee opened up through centre John Malcolm but the home side hit back on the back of Pumas mistakes but then Peterlee took control, another 2 from Malcolm to give a Hat trick to alongside a Hat Trick from Peter Yuill playing his first game for  a year, prop Andy Palmer rolled back the years to go through the line and over from half way and great individual efforts from debutants, full back Luke Tinkler and prop Warren Parsonage along with veteran loose forward Darryl Mclaren following his return from Afghanistan and also scrum half Leigh Wheatley  also returning from Afghan added a brace along with his six conversions.

Man of the match Stand off Peter Yuill but plenty of promise from  the Pumas econd string who have to compete in a league with other clubs first teams they are certainly well worth the watch. Full time Tigers 16 Pumas 60.

Next Game home to Carlisle based East Cumbria Crusaders, Saturday 11th May, KO 14:30.
